What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between visits — a logged-in session, a language choice, or, in our case, the choice you make on the cookie banner. Related browser storage, such as localStorage, works the same way and is covered by this policy too.
The kinds of cookies
- Strictly necessary. Required for the site to function, such as remembering your consent choice. These do not require approval.
- Preference. Remember settings like display choices. We currently use none beyond consent itself.
- Analytics. Help site owners understand general usage patterns. If we ever add simple, privacy-respecting analytics, we will update this policy and the banner first.
- Advertising. Used to track users across sites for ad targeting. We do not use these at all — see our Advertising Policy.
How the banner works
The first time you visit, a banner at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the name cookieConsent, so the banner does not keep asking on every page. Declining does not break the site — this website works fine either way, because we simply do not rely on tracking.

One item, and that is the whole list. Our contact page also embeds a Google Maps frame. When you load that map, Google may set its own cookies under its own policies; loading the map is optional, and the rest of the contact page works without it.
Withdrawing or changing consent
You can change your mind at any time. The simplest way is to clear your browser's stored data for mexclearing.us (cookies and site data), which removes the saved choice; the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser explains how in its help menu. If you would rather just ask, contact us and we will walk you through it.
