Mex Clearing is a small coordination office with a simple job: keep South Georgia farm freight moving and keep the paperwork honest.
Mex Clearing operates out of Moultrie, Georgia, in the heart of South Georgia farm country. This is vegetable and row-crop territory — fields, packing sheds, cold storage, and trucks on Highway 133 from before sunup. Our office exists because all of that movement needs coordination, and the people doing the farming and packing already have enough to worry about.
The office is led by Marcus Deas, Principal. Marcus grew up around this part of Georgia and learned the freight business the long way — one load at a time, with the paperwork done right. He opened Mex Clearing on a simple idea: growers, packers, and distributors should not have to fight the phone and the paperwork on top of everything else the season throws at them. Somebody local should know the lanes, know the docks, and know enough to keep a load moving when plans change. That is what this office does.
What we believe a freight office owes you
First, plain talk. We will tell you what we can coordinate, what it takes, and when something is not a fit for our office. We would rather be honest than stretch for a job. Second, careful documentation. Bills of lading, confirmations, delivery receipts — every load carries a paper trail, and we keep ours complete so the record is right on both ends. Third, a person who answers. When you call, you reach the office, and if we miss you, we call back the same day.
We work with carriers who know this corner of Georgia, and where a shipment requires licensed brokerage, licensed brokers are engaged. We are not a faceless dispatch board and we do not want to be one. The growers, packers, and distributors we serve are a short drive from our door, and that closeness keeps us accountable in a way a phone tree never could.
